The Forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change

The masses of our great people have stayed their course, steadfastly, in the battle for freedom and change. Sweat and blood of women and men marked the grounds upon which they stood, and no one on earth can bring them to their knees. The regime practiced the worst forms of violence against defenseless civilians who came out demanding their freedom and dignity and held on to nonviolent direct action, unshaken by the regime’s tyranny. The battle that took place on the dawn of Tuesday (April 9th) proved that this regime is beyond the worst of suspicions when it sent its militias attacking the protesters with bullets and tear gas in cold blood.

It did not even hesitate to confront army officers, commissioned an non-commissioned, who confronted this cowardly attack, with courage and patriotism, to protect their fellow countrymen, the unarmed civilians. This treacherous attack cost the revolutionary masses three civilians martyrs and two martyrs from the ranks of the people’s armed forces. These heroes deserve to be commemorated, and our people are to remain grateful to them, as they have given their country their lives. We, in the Forces signatory to the Declaration of Freedom and Change (DFC), intend to commemorate their lives through collective prayers on the grounds of the sit-in (in front of the Armed Forces Headquarters) at One o’clock on Tuesday afternoon, the ninth of April 2019.

Our great people;

Today, we are the closest we have even been to the ultimate victory that forces the tyrant to step down and hand over power to a transitional civilian government that is formed by the forces of revolution. The head of the regime was dismissed by the order of the masses that waged the glorious December Revolution, and he has no choice (now) but to concede to the people’s will, which is undeniable. We call upon the people’s armed forces to stand with the will of the people and to immediately sit down with the representatives of the Council formed by the DFC forces to discuss the arrangements of transition taht cannot be postponed under this delicate situation.

Our great people;

Our strength lies in preserving our peaceful resistance through this great sit-in. Our perseverance at these moments, and our organized and creative mobilization, is the way to reach our goals. We call upon all citizens of the tripartite capital (Khartoum-Omdurman-Bah’ri) and the nearby areas to join the sit-in in front of the HQs of the General Command of the Armed Forces and to continue the demonstrations and sit-ins throughout the regions of the country. Our victory is nigh, and the despot cannot break your resolve. Our battle has one option: freedom, which is indivisible and not subject to bargains. The choice of the people will prevail.
