The World Federation of Trade Unions expresses its solidarity to the people of India who is suffering by the severe weather conditions prevailing in several areas of India. High-speed winds, storms and lightning devastated many villages, bringing down homes and leaving hundreds dead and injured.

The workers and the popular strata are once again unprotected against the natural disasters and pay with their lives the cost of the lack of adequate protection measures in all the aspects of their lives.
