The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India strongly condemns the attack on the CPI Begusarai district office with bombs, bricks, stones and sticks by a violent group of BJP activists. As the Lok Sabha results were coming out, these goons in their arrogance over the victory attacked the office injuring some of the comrades present there.

It may be recalled here that former JNU Students Union president Kanhaiya Kumar put up a stiff fight as a CPI candidate from the Begusarai seat for the Lok Sabha.

The Party urges the Bihar state government and particularly chief minister Nitish Kumar to protect the offices and workers of the opposition parties particularly of the Left.
