The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is hosting since Thursday the “Latin American Meeting of Local Governments and Participatory Democracy”, which will gather in Caracas until June 9 more than a hundred mayors, governors, councilors and progressive leaders of 19 Latin American and the Caribbean countries.

The People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, said on Friday that the international financial entities are accomplices of the illegal economic blockade that the administration of Donald Trump holds against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Foreign Minister Arreaza assured that international banks give up and interrupt all transactions and relations with Venezuela due to fear of future sanctions or reprisals by the US government, severely affecting the right to health and food of the Venezuelan people.

“I believe in dialogue, it is the only way, it is not that we are betting on several paths: to the coup d’état, to violence and suddenly to dialogue, no, the only way is dialogue”, emphasized the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during a meeting with fishermen from the east of the country, this Wednesday.

He added that he has just concluded the second day of dialogue with the Venezuelan opposition in Norway in which the sector Vice-president for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez, was present; the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, and the governor of the state Miranda Héctor Rodríguez.

The Venezuelan delegation of the Bolivarian Government for the peace dialogue that takes place in Oslo, Norway, headed by the sectoral Vice-president of Communication, Tourism and Culture, Jorge Rodríguez, on Wednesday thanked the government of the European country for the progress made in the process of dialogue with the Venezuelan opposition, after the announcement made by the government of Norway where reiterates its commitment to work for a peaceful solution to the Venezuelan situation.

From Nairobi, capital of Kenya, the People’s Power Minister for Habitat and Housing and maximum representative of the Great Housing Mission Venezuela (GMVV), Ildemaro Villarroel announced that Venezuela successfully concluded its participation in the first Assembly of the UN Habitat.

“We arrived at the end of a great international day at the UN Habitat Assembly. We made visible the achievements of the Great Housing Mission Venezuela”, he said through his account on the social network Twitter, @IMVillarroel.

With the objective of advancing Cuba-Venezuela cooperation in the face of the criminal blockade imposed by foreign governments, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting with the Vice President of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrizas in the Venezuelan capital.

The meeting, which was carried out within the framework of the high-level commission, also included the participation of Simón Zerpa, People’s Power Minister of Economy and Finance, Rogelio Polanco, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Venezuela, Lázaro Artola, head of the economic office, Rubén Sido, Vice-minister of energy and Julio García, chief of missions.

Vice Mnister of Foreign Affairs Qin Gang met with the Vice-minister of Foreign Relations for Multiletaral Affairs of Venezuela, Felix Plasencia, who visited the country. Both exchanged views in a friendly and comprehensive manner, on issues of relations between China and Venezuela, the situation in Venezuela and others.

“World peace must prevail … war threats must disappear”, said Venezuelan Ambassador Jorge Valero, after assuming on behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the pro tempore presidency of the Commission for Disarmament and International Security of the United Nations Organization (UN), with headquarters in Geneva.

Faced with such a turbulent and changing world, Venezuela continues to bet on peace and Bolivarian Diplomacy, Ambassador Valero said. “Venezuela believes that the Disarmament Commission should be a priority to try to overcome the worrying nuclear scenario that threatens the human species”, he said.
