With the objective of advancing Cuba-Venezuela cooperation in the face of the criminal blockade imposed by foreign governments, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting with the Vice President of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrizas in the Venezuelan capital.

The meeting, which was carried out within the framework of the high-level commission, also included the participation of Simón Zerpa, People’s Power Minister of Economy and Finance, Rogelio Polanco, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Venezuela, Lázaro Artola, head of the economic office, Rubén Sido, Vice-minister of energy and Julio García, chief of missions.

Vice Mnister of Foreign Affairs Qin Gang met with the Vice-minister of Foreign Relations for Multiletaral Affairs of Venezuela, Felix Plasencia, who visited the country. Both exchanged views in a friendly and comprehensive manner, on issues of relations between China and Venezuela, the situation in Venezuela and others.

“World peace must prevail … war threats must disappear”, said Venezuelan Ambassador Jorge Valero, after assuming on behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the pro tempore presidency of the Commission for Disarmament and International Security of the United Nations Organization (UN), with headquarters in Geneva.

Venezuela as a peace flag

Faced with such a turbulent and changing world, Venezuela continues to bet on peace and Bolivarian Diplomacy, Ambassador Valero said. “Venezuela believes that the Disarmament Commission should be a priority to try to overcome the worrying nuclear scenario that threatens the human species”, he said.

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, reiterated his call for dialogue with the political and social sectors of the country, in order to guarantee peace in Venezuela.

During a meeting with the political high command of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), held in Caracas, the President indicated that although there is an opposition sector that is in the extremist plan to overthrow the legitimately constituted government, discussions have begun with this political fragment in Norway.

Food security for the people is one of the political priorities of the Bolivarian Government, reinforced by the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP), a mechanism of social organization that today is strengthened to counteract the unconventional war imposed by the US government through the economic and financial blockade.

These instances that strengthen its structure in popular power arise in response to three major problems that affect the living conditions of Venezuelans: shortages, induced inflation and media war promoted by right-wing factors that adversely affect the constitutional government of President Nicolás Maduro Moors.

The fourth shipment of humanitarian technical assistance from the People’s Republic of China arrived on Monday to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela with 68 tons of medicines, in an agreement that is part of the strategic alliance of cooperation between the two countries.

From the International Airport of Maiquetía “Simón Bolívar”, the People’s Power Minister for Health, Carlos Alvarado, stressed that the medicines will be distributed immediately in the network of the national public health system.

As a false journalism and liar described the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, the publication made by international media outlets which reviews the death of the third child who was waiting for a bone marrow transplant, and where the head of Venezuelan State, Nicolás Maduro Moros, is falsely acused to suspend PDVSA-Citgo’s social health program through which children, and adults with serious illnesses are treated.

From Geneva, Switzerland, where the 72nd World Health Assembly takes place, the People’s Power Minister for Health, Carlos Alvarado, denounced the consequences of the economic blockade on health, imposed against Venezuela since 2014 with the unusual and extraordinary threat statement dictated by former President Barack Obama and continued under the administration of Donald Trump.

These measures adopted by the US government unleashed the blockade of the necessary payments for the acquisition of medicines and supplies for health, hindering access to goods and raw materials to offer assistance to the Venezuelan people.

The coercive measures unilaterally imposed by the United States government on the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela have put at risk the life of a group of Venezuelan infants, reiterated the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza.

Specifically, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister referred – through his Twitter account @ jaarreaza – to the cases of four Venezuelan girls and boys who suffer from serious liver diseases and are in the Argentine Republic, where they received the required attention with the support of the State’s company Petroleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA).
