The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, received on Thursday at the Miraflores Palace a delegation from the People’s Republic of China led by the Director General of the Office for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zhao Bentang

The bilateral meeting gave rise to an important dialogue between the parties during which, the international context and the integral cooperation agenda maintained by the two nations were analyzed.

In the framework of the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace, on Thursday, members of the International Contact Group held the first high-level meeting with the constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, with the firm objective of resolving political controversies and look for solutions to the current situation in the country.

The four activists are Margaret Flowers and Kevin Zeese (with the group Popular Resistance), Adrienne Pine (an academic) and David Paul (a CODEPINK member). They are part of the Embassy Protection Collective that has been living in the embassy since April 10.

“The illegal and violent entry by the police of the United States government to the Venezuelan diplomatic headquarters located in Washington demonstrates a clear and open violation of international law without precedent under the Vienna Convention”, said the Vice-minister for North America of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Carlos Ron, on Thursday during a telephone contact with the TeleSur news channel.

The permanent representative of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN), Samuel Moncada, denounced during a press conference from the headquarters of the agency in the city of New York, United States, the repeated violation of the Vienna Convention that governs diplomatic relations, this in the framework of the siege of the Venezuelan diplomatic premises in Washington, which happens with the consent of the US Government.

This Wednesday, the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, thanked the American Reverend and civil rights activist, Jesse Jackson, for his humanitarian gesture of delivering food to the Collective of Protection of the Embassy of Venezuela in Washington, which It is besieged by sympathizers of the Venezuelan opposition with support from the US government.
